ITEN TAKES 6th IN 2007 IDITAROD |
| Ed Iten crossed under Nome’s famed burled arch as the sixth musher to complete the 2007 Iditarod. He and his team were on the 1049-mile trail for 9 days, 16 hours, 34 min. 10 sec. It was Ed's 8th consecutive Iditarod finish, and his 6th finish in the top ten. |

Ed was the 2007 winner of the prestigious Leonhard Seppala Humanitarian Award, which recognizes the musher who provides the best care for his or her dogs during the race. The award is named after Alaska's most venerated musher, who traveled with his dogs the longest distance in the 1925 effort to transport diphtheria serum to Nome. It is considered the highest honor a race competitor can receive. That's Piker on the right. |

LYNDEN
AIR CARGO SUPPORTS THE ITEN TEAM |
| |
From the beginning of Ed's racing career, Lynden Air Cargo has supported team Iten as the kennel's biggest sponsor. Each year, the Lynden Family of Companies transports hundreds of pounds of dog food as well as the team itself to and from Kotzebue without charge. Lynden's support has greatly contributed to the overall success of the team by allowing the family to spend more time training and less time working to secure the funds necessary to keep and maintain one of Alaska's most successful bush kennels.
